Vanessa Bolton joined the Firm in November of 2021. Prior to joining the Firm, Vanessa served as a Senior Attorney for the Florida Department of Transportation, focusing primarily on eminent domain litigation. However, she now devotes her practice entirely to protecting land and business owners’ private property rights.
Vanessa received both her undergraduate and law degrees from Stetson University College of Law. She is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Vanessa brings over 7 years’ experience as an eminent domain attorney working for the Florida Department of Transportation. Vanessa also has considerable general civil litigation/real estate experience, having worked for other private law firms prior to her tenure at the Florida Department of Transportation. She has litigated a wide variety of eminent domain and inverse condemnation cases to successful conclusion, including the acquisition of the Crossroads Shopping Center near Walt Disney World, FDOT v. U.S. Cities et al, believed to be the highest valued eminent domain case in Florida recorded history.
Vanessa brings a fresh perspective that can only serve to benefit her new practice of now defending eminent domain actions and protecting land and business owner’s private property rights. Her office is located in DeLand, Florida, where she grew up and currently resides with her husband and children, and where she hopes to more extensively expand the Firm’s practice in the Central Florida region.
